There are so many reasons why Noosa is THE perfect place to say ‘I do’.. Obviously the blue skies, the ocean, the amazing food and stunning scenery, but it is also home to some incredible wedding locations and the most fabulous wedding professionals.
Let’s Talk Ceremony Locations
Noosa has something for everyone. For beautiful beach vibes (think the sound of waves, coastal breezes…) you can’t go past the wedding bays at the end of Hastings Street. There are four of them, with each with something a little different to add to your special day:
Maison La Plage – the first location at the end of the Boardwalk. Couples choose this one as it is the largest of all the bays and has lots of lush green grass. The arbour can be positioned in between the pandanus trees to capture the blue ocean behind.
Casuarina Gardens – is the next one along and is perfect for smaller weddings. The natural rise in the ground provides perfect ocean views.
Hidden Grove – probably the most popular choice for ceremonies as it offers something for everyone. Noosa Beach is on show but it has some shade and there are different angles to position an arbour.
Laguna Grove – this is right next to Hidden Grove and is a lovely choice. The Council will often book out Hidden Grove when you book this space, as the two bays are very close together
Other popular choices around Noosa include Noosa Woods to give stunning Noosa River views with a lush tree back drop. And another favourite of ours is Lions Park – which also overlooks the river. It is green and private. It is also protected from the wind with some lovely big trees.
The bays can get really busy some weekends so make sure you have a welcome sign so your guests turn up at the right wedding!
Travel Like a Local
If you decide to get married in Noosa, why not charter one of the iconic Noosa Ferries to take your guests on a boat ride up the Noosa River? It is a great way to entertain them while you are getting photos done. If your Reception is at a venue along the river, then the ferry can pull up out the front, otherwise, you can return your guests to Noosa Woods or the Sofitel and they can walk to Hastings Street.
Eat, Drink and Dance the Night Away
Noosa is chock full of amazing choices for your Reception. There is literally something for every budget, every palette and every style. Some of our favourites include:
Noosa Boathouse – modern Australian cuisine with a focus on local produce. It is literally on a boat moored on the river. Stunning views and has lots of flexible dining spaces to choose from.
Noosa Waterfront Restaurant – award-winning modern Italian cuisine, nestled on a canal off the river. Really private with a fantastic wine list.
Rickys Restaurant – lux dining on the river. Beautiful breezes, fresh seafood and amazing cocktails. Enough said?!
Sails Restaurant – Want to be right on Noosa Beach? Then Sails is for you. Located on the National Park end of Hastings Street, it is a gorgeous choice for a wedding reception.
